Some things you need to know... |
Your should aim to keep your car on the road at all times. If you have an off-road excursion that is judged to have gained you time, there will be added some extra seconds to your time for each incident that occurs. |
You will need too be signed up on the drivers list in order to take part in this event. Post an mail to me with these information included:

No changes may be made to the physics in the game. A standard ral.cfg is available for download from the website after you get the seasoncode to use (see below for more info about the seasoncode). |
The URL of the forum is www.activescore.com/rally/bbs.html and you should check this regularly. You can be certain there will be plenty of good natured banter during the Rally - feel free to take part. |
The RSL Championship is international in nature. You will be competing against some of the best drivers from around the world. In order to ensure that everyone knows when events are scheduled to take place, all times are expressed as GMT. You can check the current time in GMT by visiting this website: |
To simulate the pressure of driving in a real rally, the time available to drive the stage 'for real' is limited. |
Taking part in the Rally |
The weekly procedure is as follows: |
1. Stage and car details are announced on Sunday at around 21:00 GMT. |
During the Rally, on Sundays at around 21:00 GMT. I will announce on the forum and on the frontpage car to use and stage to drive. All replays must be uploaded before 21:00 GMT the following Sunday. |
When you feel that you are ready to drive the stage, log onto the member's area of the website and click "Get seasoncode" button to get your seasoncode. This starts the timer running. You then have a maximum of 3 hours in which to drive the stages and upload your replays. Ensure you make a note of the seasoncode you have been allocated. |
Edit your ral.cfg file and include the line: |
Don't forget to save your replays. It is probably wise to drive a conservative 'banker lap' at first to ensure you have a valid replay to submit. Make a note of your replay numbers for when you zip your replays. Keep an eye on the time remaining. |
The 3 hours you have before the zipfile must be on server is based on this: |
Zip your replays into a single zipfile using a zipping utility such as winzip. |
Log onto the member's area of the website. Enter your driving licence code and upload your zipped file containing your replays. |
